Although it made landfall weaker than expected, Hurricane Gustav still did plenty of damage. To help clean-up efforts, the Southern Baptists sent a chainsaw crew to Baton Rouge.
The 14 man team is made up of volunteers mostly out of the Bartlesville area.
"We're just down there to serve and help as much as we can and glorify God, I mean that's part of our ministry to a be Christ-like," said crew member Steve Cabler.
The chainsaw crew expects the trip to take about a week. The State of Oklahoma is also sending child care crews to help hurricane victims.
