Injured Paramedic Recovering

A paramedic injured in a Tuesday morning accident is recovering.  Matt Ruskoski, 23, of Tulsa was heading home after his shift when he saw another driver hydroplane and crash on the Broken Arrow Expressway.

Ruskoski stopped to render aid when another driver lost control, striking the first car and the paramedic.

Ruskoski suffered a broken leg and tissue damage, but says he doesn't regret his decision to help.

"I'm mad that I'll have to be off for a while, but I'm doing O.K.  I was really lucky, considering how it happened," said Matt Ruskoski.
