RENO, Nev. (AP) -- Steve Flesch overcame windy conditions to shoot a 3-under-69 and take a 5-shot lead after 3 rounds of the Reno-Tahoe Open.

Flesch had 5 birdies and 2 bogeys and stands at 15-under after 54 holes. The left-hander is trying for his 3rd PGA Tour victory.

John Merrick, Steve Allan and Todd Fischer are tied for second at 10-under. Charles Warren shot a 73 to fall back to 9-under.
