OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Nashville pitcher Chris Oxspring throws seven innings of shutout baseball today as the Sounds beat the Oklahoma RedHawks 7-0.

The game was the last for both teams before the Pacific Coast League's all-star break. Oxspring is scheduled to start for the PCL in the Triple-A All-Star game on Wednesday in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Oxspring allowed only two hits and one walk while striking out seven batters.

Nashville equalled a season high with four home runs, all of which were allowed by Oklahoma starter Alfredo Simon.

The RedHawks are 44-45 overall heading into the all-star break and are 2-and-one-half games behind the New Orleans Zephyrs in the PCL's American South Division.
