Family and friends will say goodbye to a Broken Arrow teen today who died during a Spring Break trip last week.
17 year old Claire Bichalski was in Colorado with her church group when she hit a tree and died. She was learning to ski for the first time and died just days after her first lesson.
Family, teachers and classmates remembered the Union High School junior as a quiet but thoughtful person, with a great sense of humor and infectious smile.
Classmate Christina Morse: "It's kinda sad because she was just out on vacation having fun."
Claire’s father, Bruce Bichalski: "We're blessed with 17 wonderful years with her and we're thankful we had her for that long."
Funeral services are at two o'clock today at Rhema's Rooker Memorial Auditorium.
