(Tulsa-AP) -- Tulsa attorney Ronald A. White has been unanimously confirmed by the US Senate as district judge for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

White, a Sapulpa native, was graduated from the University of Oklahoma and the OU School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif Honor Society.

White's a partner in the law firm of Hall Estill Hardwick Gable Golden & Nelson. The 42-year-old White has focused his practice on civil litigation in such areas as insurance defense and medical malpractice.

White he plans to relocate to Muskogee, where the Eastern District is based. He will succeed veteran Judge Frank Seay, who earlier this year announced that he would take senior status beginning in September.
