Tippin's Restaurant is filing for bankruptcy, but its Tulsa store is safe.

The Kansas-based chain has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The filing comes shortly after Tippin's closed nine of its restaurants across Kansas City, St Louis, and parts of Texas.

An attorney for the company says they don't expect to close any more stores.
