CHICAGO (AP)_ Restricted free agent forward Eddie Robinson, who played his first two seasons with Charlotte, signed with the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday.

Last month, Robinson signed a five-year, $30 million offer sheet with Chicago. The Hornets had 15 days to match but could not do so because of salary cap constrains.

The 6-foot-9 Robinson averaged 17.3 minutes, 7.2 points and 2.9 rebounds in two seasons with the Hornets.

Robinson averaged 12 points and 4.7 rebounds against the Miami Heat in the first round of the playoffs last season. He shot 50 percent or higher in 21 straight games from Feb. 2-March 23.

Undrafted out of Central Oklahoma, Robinson was signed as a free agent by Charlotte in August 1999.
