(Kansas City, Missouri-AP) -- The Texas Rangers recalled outfielder Gabe Kapler from the Oklahoma RedHawks Tuesday.

Kapler is recovering from tendinitis in his left wrist. He hit four-71 with one homer and five R-B-Is in a five-game stint with the RedHawks.

Texas also sent pitcher Joaquin Benoit back down to Oklahoma. Benoit walked a Rangers season-high seven batters when he was called up to pitch against the Kansas City Royals.
