(Tulsa-AP) -- Muskogee businessman Andy Ewing made his bid for the second District congressional seat official Monday.
Ewing says he'll serve as a citizen legislator. He pledged to serve in the tradition of U-S Representative Tom Coburn.
Coburn recruited the retired car dealer to seek the Republican nomination.
He said in a news release that the country must maintain conservative principles, a less intrusive government, a strong national defense, lower taxes, a reduced national debt, and must protect the sanctity of life.
And he has pledged to follow in Coburn's footsteps by agreeing to serve only three terms if elected.
