OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A member of the country music band Kentucky Headhunters was upgraded to fair condition after suffering a heart attack shortly after performing.

Richard Young, 45, collapsed Saturday night at Remington Park and had been listed in serious condition but was upgraded Sunday, said a spokeswoman at St. Anthony Hospital.

Young plays rhythm guitar for the group, which took the stage prior to a performance by Tracy Lawrence.

He and his brother, drummer Fred Young, helped form the band in 1986.

The group won Vocal Group of the Year awards from the Country Music Association in 1990 and 1991.

Their hits include "Walk Softly on This Heart of Mine," "Dumas Walker" and "Oh, Lonesome Me."
