BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (AP) -- Bail has been set at $5,000 for a Skiatook man charged with caretaker abuse.

Scott Alleman Disney was charged after prosecutors heard testimony in the case involving his girlfriend. Michelle Koren Johnson was convicted on a similar charge in September.

Disney and Johnson cared for Mary Katherine Butcher from April 1st to July 17th, 2003, when she was admitted to the Bartlesville hospital. Court records show Butcher was malnourished and had bed severe bed sores.

Disney testified in Johnson's trial that he was paid $250 a week to help care for Butcher.

A jury on Friday recommended a 2-and-a-half-year prison term and a $10,000 for Johnson.
