OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ A federal prosecutor says a Guthrie-based bank corporation will pay more than $1.4 million to settle allegations of loan fraud related to agriculture loans.
U.S. Attorney John Richter says First Capital Bancorp and First Capital Bank denies wrongdoing but will pay to settle a lawsuit which said they submitted false claims to the Farm Service Agency of the U.S. Agriculture Department.
The Farm Service Agency administers programs designed to stabilize farm income and provide credit to new or disadvantaged farmers.
First Capital's headquarters are in Guthrie with banks in Kingfisher and Cordell.
