OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The remains of an Oklahoma soldier who was killed in the Vietnam War nearly 40 years ago are back in Oklahoma.

The body of Major Frederick Ransbottom arrived at Will Rogers World Airport Thursday morning.

Ransbottom was killed in May 1968 when his platoon was overrun. His body was found last year on a hilltop and later identified.

The body arrived in a flag-draped coffin that was carried by members of the Oklahoma National Guard.

Funeral services will be Saturday in Edmond.
