OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The amount of cotton ginned into bales in Oklahoma through mid-December declined 30 percent from 2005.

That's according to figures from the US Agriculture Department's National Agricultural Statistics Service.

Oklahoma cotton gins produced 150,500 bales through December 15th, down from 214,000 at the same point last year.

Jackson County was the state's leading producer, with 77,650 bales.
