There are some simple ways to make sure your car is ready for the cold.

First, you'll want to get your antifreeze and all other fluid levels checked.

Look at the tread on your tires to make sure you have proper traction.

Make sure your battery is fully charged.

And, finally get together an emergency kit that includes jumper cables, tools, blankets and a flashlight.
