A fire at a Bartlesville shopping center damages several vacant office spaces early Tuesday morning.
Bartlesville fire chief Bob Hasbrook says they got the first call at 3:24 AM. Upon arrival, firefighters had flames and heavy smoke pouring out of the structure. The fire was quickly contained and several nearby businesses, including a Goodwill store sustained only minor smoke damage.
In all, only 3,600 square feet of the shopping center was damaged in the fire located near US highway 75 and Frank Phillips Boulevard.
Hasbrook says it appears the cause of the blaze was electrical in nature. The fire started in the ceiling area of an office on the northeast side of the structure. Hasbrook says the area where the fire started had been vacant for almost a year.
No one was injured in the fire.
