OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Governor Brad Henry wants to spend another $2-million to stop the supply of methamphetamine coming into the state from Mexico.

The governor says a state law that restricts the sale of cold medicines containing psuedoephedrine has reduced the local manufacturing of meth. He says drug traffickers are now bringing to the state a drug known as "crystal ice" that's even more addictive than meth.

Henry's plan calls for a special team of narcotics agents to include Hispanics to focus exclusively on major meth traffickers and increasing the penalty for importing meth to a minimum of ten years in prison. It also would create a statewide education program about the danger of meth and establish a new program targeting meth addiction and requiring long-term treatment.
