El Reno mayor Matthew White announced a shelter in place order and other requirements due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic Wednesday.
While in public places, it is required residents "wear a face mask, handkerchief or other protective covering to cover the mouth and nose when in public places," according to the city's proclamation.
White said in a Facebook video that residents may continue essential activities such as shopping, but requires people shop as individuals and not in groups.
