UPDATE: OG&E confirmed via its System Watch map Thursday afternoon that all 3,417 customers in Choctaw have had their power restored. Below is the original story.
Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company said Thursday morning that more than 3,000 customers are without power in Choctaw.
OG&E cited an unconfirmed report of downed power lines in the southeast part of the metro near the intersection of South Peebly Road and Southeast 59th Street.
The outage originally knocked out power to 3,417 customers in Choctaw.
The estimated power restoration time was initially set for 10:25 a.m. Thursday, but crews are still working to get electricity back for more than 3,400 Choctaw residents as of 11:30 a.m.
