Tulsa Police Department Sees Outpour Of Support For Injured Officers

Two Tulsa Police Officers are in the hospital fighting for their lives after they were shot during a traffic stop on Monday.

Two Tulsa Police Officers are in the hospital fighting for their lives after they were shot during a traffic stop on Monday.

On Tuesday the Tulsa community is coming together to show their support for those officers and their families. Chief Wendell Franklin asked the community to come together during this time of need and police say that's exactly what they are seeing.

A patrol car located at 11th and Highway 169 is covered with balloons, flowers, handwritten notes, and thank you cards. Tulsa officers as well as officers and deputies from other agencies have been coming and going come and go to pay their respects for their brothers.

People have also dropped off flags at the scene of the shooting with handwritten notes thanking Tulsa police for doing the job they do. Police say both officer Aurash Zarkeshan and Sgt. Craig Johnson are still in critical condition. fighting for their lives in the hospital.

Tulsa Police say David Ware and Matt Hall are in jail and being held without bond.
