The Citizen Potawatomi Nation announced they will require face masks and social distancing for all employees and members of the public at businesses within its tribal jurisdiction.

Citizen Potawatomi Nation Tribal Chairman John “Rocky Barrett” said, “Our priority continues to be on the health and safety of our employees, customers and communities.  All employees will continue wearing masks, using sanitizer and practicing social distancing. We also continue to conduct additional deep cleanings of our facilities.”

The CPN said that because COVID-19 cases in Pottawatomie County have doubled since June, they are implementing this policy to “protect each other and keep our communities healthy.”

This mandate will begin on Monday, July 20 and is not applicable to children under the age of 10.
