Tulsa Police: Man Wanted Out Of Louisiana Arrested

Tulsa police arrested a man Saturday they said was on the run from Louisiana authorities.

Officers said they arrested Charles Gibson after discovering he had an outstanding warrant out of Louisiana.

Police said Gibson claimed he was a registered homeless sex offender in Louisiana. They said Gibson told officers he has been in Tulsa since March and had been staying in the 600 block of East Archer Street. He also claimed he tried to register as a sex offender in Tulsa, but couldn't due to COVID-19 closings.
