Family and friends remembered the life of a young man found dead in southwest Oklahoma City. A vigil was held Saturday night at the same location his body was discovered.

While police said Paul Garrison was killed, they have not disclosed how he died. No arrests have been made at this time.

Police said they believe foul play was involved.

“I was just completely devastated because I won't ever get the chance to talk to him again,” Christian Mindieta, Garrison’s cousin, said.

The Oklahoma City Police Department located Garrison near SW 8th and McKinley on Friday morning after someone called 911 and reported a body in the roadway.

Garrison's fiancé, Judith Aguirre, learned the news when officers knocked on her front door.

“I closed the door and I’m like, ‘Wait, did they just tell me my baby is gone?’” Aguirre said. “The lover of my life. My best friend.”

One family member said Garrison was a loving person and was always there for his family.

“He always kept a smile,” Mindieta said. “Anytime you saw him, he was never down.”

The family hopes to get more information in the coming days.

“Everything’s just hitting us and we'd like to be at peace,” Aguirre said. “That's all we want. We want answers and whoever did it to just come clean.”

The family also started a GoFundMe which can be found here.
