Jenks and Union will meet under the lights for the annual Backyard Bowl, but things will look different this year.
The game traditionally is played at TU’s Chapman Stadium but, because of the pandemic, it’s taking place at Allan Trimble Stadium.
Tickets for the game are already sold out.
For the fans that do have a ticket, a mask will be required to enter the gates.
Concessions will have mostly pre-packaged goods with no touch payment options.
And there is only going to be enough room for the Jenks band in the stands at the game.
Jenks Athletics Director Tony Dillingham said the normal capacity for this game is nearly 16,000. However, because of the change of venue and efforts to encourage physical distancing, there will only be 30 to 35 percent capacity for fans.
“I would continue to encourage our people to take advantage of the space that we have to social distance. Don’t feel like you’re tied to your reserved seat because we have that flexibility” said Dillingham.
The game is set to kickoff Friday night after 7:30.
