News On 6 has had a lot of memorable moments over the last 6 years kissing pigs, big and small, sweet and salty. All the fun is for a good cause, supporting the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma's Food For Kids program.

The food bank works with 350 agencies in 24 counties to make sure kids don't go to bed hungry.

Jeff Marlow is the Food Bank's Executive Chef. He said more families than ever before need food during the pandemic.

"Over 90% of our participants are working-class citizens. They're missing their financial need to get them through because they're paying medical bills, insurance, house rent," Marlow said.

Before COVID-19, studies showed 1-in-4 children went to bed hungry in Oklahoma, but, Feeding America says now, it's 1-in-3.

"I've got three children, and I think about it. They say they're hungry from time-to-time, but I know they're really not hungry. For a child that really is hungry, they need that," said Marlow.

The food bank has backpacks of food for kids to take home on weekends, they have school pantries where students can get food, even if they're learning from home, a program called School's Out-Meals In, and even a free farmers market for early childhood centers. But, all these programs run on donations.

"For every dollar we raise here, we can create four meals; and we've got a match. So, $1 could be eight meals; even if it's $1 or $5 or $10, it goes a long ways," Marlow said.

In the past at the Tulsa State Fair, people put their donations for the food bank into containers, as a way to vote for which anchor would kiss a pig.

This year, you donate by going HERE or texting PIG to 79640. Once you're on the donation page, you can choose how much to donate and pick which anchor will get snout-to-snout, and you pay with your credit or debit card. Anyone who donates $5 will be entered to win a prize.

This year the anchors be puckering up with Oreo. He's the brother to Raisin, who Alan kissed back in 2016.

You can donate and vote as often as you like, but, please, don't ask the chef his choice.

"You know, Lori, since you're here, I think we could find you an awesome, beautiful pig," said Marlow.

Remember, it's all for a good cause!
