Norman and Oklahoma City Police are investigating after two people were hit in separate accidents Tuesday night.
One was a deadly accident, the other was a hit-and-run.
Norman police officers said a pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on 36th Avenue Northwest around 10:15 p.m.

Officers shut down Indian Hills Road and Franklin Road while they investigated the scene, but the lanes are back open this morning.
We’re told the driver stayed on scene to talk with police.
Officers have not released who the victim is or what led up to the crash.
A few hours earlier, Oklahoma City Police say the driver who hit a pedestrian near Southwest 42nd Street and South May Avenue around 8 p.m. is on the run.

Police said the suspect was driving a Honda Civic, but there is no word on what color the car is.
The victim is recovering in the hospital, suffering from broken bones, but is expected to survive.
No names and further suspect description have been released.
