Tulsa County has moved into tier two of Oklahoma’s state hospital surge plan, the state health department reported Thursday.
The report, released on Thurdsay November 12, shows Tulsa County in the second tier. The tiers are determined by the percentage of COVID-19 patients in staffed beds. In Tulsa County, the report shows that 279 out of 1,751 beds or 15.9% are COVID-19.
In Tier 2, the surge plan says that each individual hospital's surge plan will be put into action.
In the most recent state health department report on Monday, November 9, Tulsa County was still in tier one.
