Neighbors are back in their homes after ATF agents destroyed explosives found inside a Henryetta home.

ATF said the investigation began when they were told a man hurt himself when he blew up an explosive device in Okfuskee County.

Authorities said the suspect was flown by helicopter to a hospital in Tulsa.

Federal agents said around 250 people were evacuated from the area when their search led them to the house and the discovery of a number of explosives.

Original Information from 6 p.m. Monday:

The ATF, Henryetta Police Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol Bomb Squad, and Okfuskee County Sheriff's Office are all investigating the suspect’s residence in Henryetta and said they have located a "pretty substantial" amount of explosives in the residence.

The Tulsa Police Department said that their bomb squad responded to the hospital after the suspect’s mother arrived with pieces of the device he had been using.

This is a developing story.
