The Homeless Alliance of Oklahoma City says if Congress doesn't pass another relief package tens of thousands of OKC residents could be at risk.

Dan Straughan with the Homeless Alliance says they are already in need of winter gear and shelters in the area have been forced to decrease their capacity due to the pandemic.

Right now he says they are fearful of January first.

“If that assistance ends December 31st you are really talking about 20 thousand households at emanant risk for evictions and that's 20 thousand households, not individuals,” said Straughan.

If you would like to donate the Homeless Alliance is looking for men's coats and hand warmers. You can find more information on how to donate HERE
