Oklahoma Blood Institute Hosts New Year's Blood Drive

The Oklahoma Blood Institute is hosting a New Year's blood drive on Monday.

The OBI will be at the Osage Casino Hotel near 36th Street North and MLK.

Anyone who donates will get a free long-sleeved T-shirt and will be entered for a chance to win a Visa gift card worth $2,000, courtesy of Spirit Bank.

All donors will also be tested for COVID-19 antibodies to identify potential convalescent plasma donors.

The OBI said that donating blood usually takes an hour, and one donation saves up to three lives.

The drive will begin at 10 a.m. and run until 5 p.m.
