Family of the six people killed in Muskogee are honoring the life of the victims. Relatives said three of the victims were the suspected gunman’s own children.

The children’s’ mother, Brittany Anderson, is in the hospital Tuesday night, after police said the suspect started shooting inside the home overnight.

Raven Anderson, the children's aunt and Brittany's sister, said she is heartbroken and can't believe someone could do something so heinous to children as young as just one year old.

“He is not a person, he is a monster. And on top of being a monster he is a coward for doing what he did," Raven said.

Raven said the suspect, Jarron Pridgeon is the father of three of the five kids he is accused of killing and the brother of the 24-year-old who died at the home.

“I don’t know what kind of person would do that, let alone a person who could take the lives of their own kids," Raven said.

At this point, officers don't know why the suspect opened fire.

“I’m thinking about my nieces and my nephew. Just sad. They were too young, too innocent for something like this," Raven said.

Raven said each kid had a bright future taken from them far too soon.

“They were great kids, they were smart, full of happiness, energy. They were, they just loved life," Raven said. “Honestly it would just be great if everyone just continued to pray."

Relatives said that an anonymous donor has offered the pay for the cost of the funeral expenses.
