Update: Deputies arrested 28-year-old Jarred Roe Wednesday night.

Tulsa County Deputies say they plan to arrest a man who was shot Tuesday night as soon as he gets out of the hospital.

Deputies said a woman told them her ex-boyfriend tried to break into her house and she shot him. They say the man was shot in the chest but is expected to be okay.

Deputies said they have been called to the home several times for domestic violence involving these two people.

"When domestic calls happen, you just don't know what you are going to be getting. You don't know how far the violence is going to escalate, how far it has escalated. You don't know if your victim is going to turn on you once you get there and try to defend the suspect. It happens quite frequently that way,” said Tulsa County Deputy Justin Green.

Deputies said they don't expect any charges to be filed against the woman because they say it appears she fired in self-defense.
