City crews are on standby ready to start clearing roads as the snow moves in.
City officials say they feel they are in good shape to fight the winter weather moving through the area on Sunday. The city of Tulsa is officially in a level two response trying to make sure they have main roads passable, meaning they have brought in all local and regional assets available to help.
The city crews are in charge of clearing the LL Tisdale parkway, Gilcrease expressway, and all city streets, but the other highways are taken care of by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. The city has more than 200 employees working in over 120 various vehicles to spread salt and plow the roads. the city says they are tackling this weather quickly and efficiently.
