Here is Tuesday morning's weather update:
Oklahoma is gearing up for another winter storm Tuesday that will unleash more wind, snow, and cold temperatures on the state.
The storm is expected to start Tuesday evening and continue with waves of snow through Thursday.
Current data indicates that four to eight inches of snow will be added to what the state has on the ground already.
News 9 Meteorologist Jed Castles said this storm will have less wind than the storm the state saw on Sunday. The snow will immediately collect on roads and surfaces and not be as wind-driven. However, some additional small drifts still expected.
After this storm, we will begin our hike toward above-freezing temperatures! In the process, there will be thawing and refreezing allowing for black ice to be a major headache to the warming trend. The greatest threat for black ice will be at sundown, overnights, and mornings.
