The Lincoln Data Center, which hosts the state's IT servers, has switched to generator power to help conserve energy, a spokesperson with the Office of Management and Enterprise Services told News 9 and News On 6.
Residents across Oklahoma have been dealing with rolling blackouts for the past two days due to a Level 3 energy emergency, declared by the Southwest Power Pool, the group that manages power grids across a large swath of the United States.
State agencies and the Capitol building will be dropping office temperatures below 68 degrees unless there's a critical temperature requirement needed for operation.
