As of Thursday evening, the Southwest Power Pool said it has raised its energy emergency alert level.
SPP said the 14-state region of service, including Oklahoma, now stands at a Level 1.
The Level 1 alert means that "all available generation resources" are able to "meet forecasted electricity demand."
SPP also said that it is not directing any electricity providers to interrupt service at this time.
