National Weather Service Issues Red Flag Warning For Several Green Country Counties
The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for several northeastern Oklahoma counties. The weather conditions are ideal for fast-spreading fires.
The warning is in effect for Rogers, Mayes, Nowata, Delaware, Craig, Ottawa and Washington Counties from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged.
Counties outside of the Red Flag Warning still need to exercise caution for hazardous weather because of the elevated fire risk. Similar conditions for Tuesday are expected.
