Golden Eagles Welcomed Home After Winning Conference Championship

After clinching a conference championship and an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, the ORU Golden Eagles were given a warm welcome home.

ORU will be playing in this year’s NCAA tournament for the first time since 2008.  The Golden Eagles won three straight games and beat North Dakota State in last night’s Summit League Championship.

The team was welcomed home by a police escort and several Golden Eagle fans, back from South Dakota.

It’s the team’s first Summit League title under Head Coach Paul Mills and ORU hopes to keep the season rolling in Indianapolis.
