Veteran Salute: JM Westmoreland

We are saluting the men and women who served our country.

On March 16, we want to salute Army veteran JM Westmoreland.

His family told News 9 he was a humble man who never considered himself a hero.

He was just 20 years old when he landed on Omaha Beach in 1944.

JM served in the 1st Infantry Division or the "Big Red One."

He was a kind man and a real hero.
