Tulsa Church Cleaning Up After SUV Hits Front Of Building

Part of a Tulsa church was damaged after a car went off the road and rolled over several times early on Wednesday morning. Members of a Tulsa church are cleaning up after a person lost control behind the wheel of an SUV and crashed into the front of the building.

The crash happened just north of downtown Tulsa near North Greenwood Avenue and East Oklahoma Street at First Baptist Church North Tulsa at around 3 a.m.

According to police, the driver was headed northbound on Greenwood when he went off the road, hit a curb, took out two rails in front of the church and rolled several times before eventually coming to a rest upside-down.

Tulsa police said that the driver did not appear to be intoxicated and the vehicle was not stolen. Currently, it is unclear if the driver fell asleep when the car went off the road.

The driver was uninjured in the accident but the church did take some damage.

Police said no other cars were involved and did not make any arrests.
