Hundreds Of Acres Scorched In Grass Fire Near Moore

Firefighters worked to put out a grass fire that burned hundreds of acres of land east of Moore Sunday afternoon.

Officials said the fire was sparked by a burned vehicle and was contained to the area between 149th and 134th and between Air Depot and Sooner Rd.

Oklahoma City and Moore Fire Departments helped keep it under control. They were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby homes and structures.

No word yet on what caused the vehicle to catch fire.
