Firefighters Respond To 2 Overnight Fires Near Downtown Tulsa
The Tulsa Fire Department was dispatched to two separate fires early Thursday morning near Downtown Tulsa.
The first call came in around 12:30 a.m. in the area of Newblock Park, which is along Charles Page Boulevard near the Arkansas River. The fire was reported by a security guard and is believed to be a homeless camp.
When crews arrived they found the camp on fire but did not find anyone in the area. Firefighters used a special ATV carrying a 100-gallon water tank to get to the fire.

The Tulsa Fire Department was dispatched to two separate fires near Downtown Tulsa early Thursday morning.
The first call came in around 12:30 a.m. in the area of Newblock Park, which is along Charles Page Boulevard near the Arkansas River. The fire was reported by a security guard and is believed to be a homeless camp.
When crews arrived they found the camp on fire but did not find anyone in the area. Firefighters used a special ATV carrying a 100-gallon water tank to get to the fire.
Firefighters also responded to another call for a significantly smaller fire along Denver Avenue around 3:45 a.m.
It is unclear at this time if the two fires are connected.
