Veteran Salute: Leonard Thompson

We continue to salute the men and women who served our country.

On April 7, we are saluting Air Force veteran Leonard Thompson.

Leonard served in the Air Force for 32 years.

He retired as a chief master sergeant before working for the FAA for another 20 years, repairing radars.

Now, he has a new title: grandpa.

His nominator said he's the most caring grandpa, and he's also selfless and kind.

Leonard also likes to help others and has volunteered for the Lions Club for 16 years.
