Oklahoma City's mask ordinance will remain unchanged after the City Council declined to vote Tuesday on ending it early.
The ordinance is in place until April 30 unless the council takes action at its next meeting on April 27.
The mask mandate was first adopted in July and has been extended several times.
During Tuesday's meeting, the City Council removed the proposal from the meeting agenda without voting on it.
Ward 4 Councilman Todd Stone and Ward 8 Councilman Mark Stonecipher had jointly proposed an early expiration, citing dramatically improved local COVID-19 case data.
