Two men are in jail on Tuesday morning after Tulsa police say they attempted to steal beer from a gas station before leading officers on a chase.
According to police, four men were inside of the car during the chase, however, officers only took two into custody.
Police said that just after 11 p.m. on Monday night, officers were flagged down by a QuikTrip employee near 51st Street and Lewis Avenue. Police said that the employee informed officers that some men had just left after stealing two cases of beer.
Police caught up with the suspects near 61st Street and Peoria Avenue but waited for backup to arrive before pulling the vehicle over. Officers say that was when a low-speed chase began.
The chase eventually ended near 56th Street and Newport Avenue. According to police four men fled from the vehicle and were quickly caught by officers.
The driver of the vehicle and one of the passengers, who police said was in possession of a small amount of meth, were arrested. The other two passengers were let go.
