Storms, Humid Conditions Expected For Central And Western Oklahoma

We’re waking up to a foggy start to the day with patches of drizzle. Through mid-morning, we will have a chance for isolated showers and storms in central Oklahoma. If these storms can develop, they will move to the south into the afternoon and could produce some small hail and gusty winds.

The rest of your Wednesday will be warm and humid. Heat index values will be near 90 across the state.

We will watch the panhandles closely in the afternoon and evening. A dryline will set up there and will spark thunderstorms. These storms should weaken as they approach western Oklahoma, but our Storm Trackers will monitor them closely.

There is a low risk for severe weather today out west. Thursday is still a day to be weather aware. It will be a hot and humid day with a strong cold front arriving late in the day.

Ahead of the cold front storms will develop and eventually form a line. These storms will be capable of large damaging hail, damaging winds and will also pose a low tornado threat.
