Police Arrest Woman After Hit & Run Accident Leaves Bicyclist Critically Injured

Broken police say one person is in custody after a bicyclist was critically injured in a hit and run accident on Thursday morning.

Broken Arrow police say a woman is in custody after she hit and critically injured a bicyclist before driving off early Thursday morning.

Police say officers responded to the call of a hit-and-run collision involving a bicyclist near West Los Angeles Street South and South Elm Place.

Police identified the driver of the vehicle as Kylah Pumphrey.

Police say the individual who called in the accident reported that Pumphrey continued driving to a Wal-Mart parking lot after the collision.

According to police, Pumphrey stated that she had hit the bicyclist and did not stop because she was scared. Pumphrey was also found to be driving without a license.

Pumphrey was arrested for driving without a license and leaving the scene of an injury collision.

The cyclist was transported to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.
