Fireworks shows were back in full force across Green Country Sunday night for the Fourth of July.

Hundreds of people gathered at River West Festival Park for Tulsa’s largest fireworks show: FreedomFest.

In addition to the fireworks, there have been plenty of food trucks, live music and games available all night. A skydiving team also landed in the park earlier Sunday evening.

Organizers said this year feels more special after having to take last year off due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Isaac Martinez and his daughter, Luna, said they have family in town and thought FreedomFest was a perfect way to celebrate Independence Day.

"We have family in town actually,” Isaac Martinez said. “They came from Memphis to visit us, so it's really enjoyable. The weather is beautiful. It's really nice to be out and about. So just looking forward to a fun few hours.”

The show had 6,000 fireworks and lasted approximately 25 minutes.
