Tulsa Police Investigate Early Morning Shooting Near 5th, Sheridan

Tulsa police are investigating a shooting that took place near East 5th Street and South Sheridan Road early Monday morning.

According to police, more than twenty shots were fired between at least two people with multiple guns.

Investigators say some of those shots were fired into a nearby home. According to police, that home had a family with five children inside and some of the rounds were shot into their bedrooms, nobody inside was hit by the gunfire.

Police say a man showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his lower back following the shooting, but officers have not confirmed if his injuries are connected to the shooting. He is expected to recover from his injuries.

Officers were able to recover one of the guns used in the shooting.
